TRISHA BOWER - Providing Help and Hope in Life and Loss

Some
Resources to Support You on Your Journey
A Few Suggestions:

1. Be patient with yourself.

2. Nurture yourself.

3. Accept your feelings.

4. Ask for and accept help.

5. Move toward your pain.

6. Do not let go of hope.

7. Grief takes time and is very difficult,
try not rush it.

Remember loss is a natural,
yet painful part of life,
even though it does not
seem natural to lose someone.

It takes time to heal.

Give yourself the time and
support that you need.

"We wish that grief would resolve.
We wish that it was linear and finite.
We wish that we could wake up one day and our painful thoughts and feelings would be all over.
Grief never resolves, however.
While we can learn to reconcile ourselves to it,
grief is transformative and life-changing."

- Dr. Alan Wolfelt,  Director of The Centre for Loss and Life Transition

“If we can stay awake when our lives are changing, secrets will be revealed to us—secrets about ourselves, about the nature of life, and about the eternal source of happiness and peace that is always available, always renewable, already within us.”
